4 recent GI deals

A handful of deals have transpired in the gastroenterology space since the beginning of May.

Four to know:

1. RDD Pharma, Innovate Biopharmaceuticals and Naia Rare Diseases merged and formed 9 Meters Biopharma, an entity that will develop treatments for orphan diseases and unmet needs in gastroenterology.

2. AbbVie completed its $63 billion acquisition of Allergan May 8, adding around $30 billion in full-year 2020 revenues.

3. Exton, Pa.-based US Digestive Health expanded its presence by partnering with Carlisle (Pa.) Digestive Disease Associates.

4. CRH acquired 75 percent of Lake Lanier Anesthesiology Associates in Gainesville, Ga., and launched a joint venture to develop a new anesthesia practice.
