Of the 50 best hospitals in 2025-26 for cardiology, heart and vascular surgery, 16 are located in the Northeast.

U.S. News & World Report released its rankings July 29, which compares the best hospitals that care for patients with heart and vascular cases including heart transplants, implantation of cardiac devices, major chest procedures and patients with cardiovascular disease and other complex conditions such as endocarditis, heart failure and circulatory issues. 

Here are the top hospitals in the Northeast for cardiology, heart and vascular surgery:

5. New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell (New York City)

8. Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston)

9. Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian (Philadelphia)

15. Montefiore Einstein (New York City)

16. Lenox Hill Hospital at Northwell Health (New York City)
