8 New Jersey hospitals honored for heart attack care

All eight eligible hospitals part of Edison, N.J.based Hackensack Meridian Health hospitals have received the American College of Cardiology’s 2025 Chest Pain – MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for excellence in heart attack care.

According to a July 17 news release, the award honors hospitals that meet or exceed guideline-based standards over two consecutive years. The recognized centers include Jersey Shore University, Hackensack University, JFK University, Riverview, Ocean University, Bayshore, Southern Ocean and Raritan Bay medical centers.

The award reflects a systemwide commitment to delivering lifesaving, evidence-based cardiovascular care and improving outcomes for high-risk patients, leaders said in the release.
