Hillary Clinton refers to ACA's rising premiums, higher healthcare costs as 'glitches' — 4 takeaways

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton called the Affordable Care Act's rising premiums and healthcare costs "glitches" during ABC's Democratic debate on Saturday, according to The Washington Free Beacon.

Here are four takeaways:

1. Ms. Clinton said out-of-pocket costs and prescription drug costs were too high.

2. She also disused the lack of competition in the insurance marketplace.

3. In the last five years, some Americans have had a 27 percent increase in insurance costs due to the ACA.

4. When asked about her word choice, Ms. Clinton said, "Well, they're glitches because – it is, because part of this is the start-up challenges that this system is facing. We have fought as Democrats for decades to get a healthcare plan. I know. I've got the scars to show from the effort back in the early '90s. We want to build on it and fix it, and I am confident we can do that."
