Here are six insights:

1. The health system is eyeing 29.6 acres in Liberty Township, Ohio, for $8 million.

2. The site is situated near Mount Carmel Fitness & Health’s freestanding emergency rooms; OhioHealth and Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s freestanding emergency rooms; OSU’s CarePoint medical office and an OhioHealth medical campus. Each system is based in Columbus.

3. In April, trustees agreed to the purchase of 31 acres for $11 million. They also approved a $4 million design budget to construct a series of outpatient campuses.

4. It would cost about $95 million to develop each of the complexes.

5. At 200,000 square feet, the campuses would be twice the size of Ohio State’s existing multispecialty Upper Arlington Outpatient Care Center. Each would include urgent care, walk-in visits, primary care, specialties, onsite lab and imaging.

6. Ohio State is also planning a 313,000-square-foot outpatient center with urgent care and an ASC in Columbus.
