Surgical Specialists of Charlotte (N.C.) entered the Mint Hill area via the newly opened Mint Hill (N.C.) Medical Center, The Weekly Post reports.

1. SSC offers general surgery, oncology and gastroenterology services at a newly opened office in the Mint Hill Medical Center.
2. SSC President Louis Zbinden, MD, said they viewed the hospital opening as a chance to enter the region.
3. Four surgeons will see patients in Mint Hill.
SSC Administrative Director J. Clay Baker said, "Our new Mint Hill office will make it so much easier and faster for patients in Mint Hill and the surrounding areas to access the world-class surgical care they need without having to travel to a larger city."
