Surgery Partners in the last 90 days: 4 updates

Brentwood, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners reported a successful first quarter of the year and made big moves in the last three months to prepare for the future.

Four updates:

1. Surgery Partners teamed with Orange, Calif.-based UCI Health May 28 to expand the health system’s outpatient surgery center network.

2. The company signed a supply chain deal with Prodigo Solutions, a healthcare technology company, May 20 to centralize and streamline supply chain operations.

3. On May 5, Surgery Partners reported first-quarter revenue jumped 16.2 percent to $512.4 million, and it added at least 25 percent more physicians to its network compared to the first quarter of 2020.

4. The company refinanced $1.55 billion in term loans May 3, extending maturity to August 2026.
