Surgery Partners adds former Tenet executive Sarath Degala — 5 things to know

Former Tenet Healthcare executive Sarath Degala is joining Surgery Partners as chief development officer, according to Nashville Post.

Here are five things to know:

1. Mr. Degala will be a C-level officer at Surgery Partners and is the eighth member of the company’s leadership team.

2. Surgery Partners disclosed Mr. Degala’s hiring in a company filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

3. Mr. Degala previously served as chief business development officer for Tenet’s southern states region.

4. He also was Wellstar Health System in Georgia’s vice president of revenue cycle.

5. Earlier this week, Surgery Partners’ shares shares fell 3 percent, hitting $13.60.
