Mount Sinai Medical Center to open 3 Florida outpatient centers: 4 key points

Next year, Florida-based Mount Sinai Medical Center plans to open three outpatient centers in Miami-Dade County, according to South Florida Business Journal.

Here are four key points:

1. Mount Sinai is presently in the expansion phase, and is building a 750-space parking garage on its Miami Beach campus. The hospital’s surgical bed tower and emergency department will also soon undergo construction.

2. The hospital received approval for its zoning application to build a free-standing emergency department.

3. Primary care and specialty care physicians will staff the three centers.

4. Mount Sinai has outpatient centers throughout Florida in Key Biscayne, Hialeah, Coral Gables, Sunny Isles Beach and Key West, which have increased the hospital’s revenue and profitability.
