Duluth, Minn.-based Essentia Health is spending $800 million through its new Vision Northland project, which will transform its downtown presence, Hometown Focus reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. Approximately $675 million will go into new construction, while $125 million will be for renovations.
2. Essentia is planning to build an entirely new hospital, a clinical building and an outpatient surgery center.
3. Essentia is reducing its downtown footprint by 240,000 square feet, leaving space for future development.
4. The project is expected to be complete by 2022.
