Here’s what you should know:
1. The surgeries were performed as part of National Sight Week.
2. The American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery Foundation encourages its members to perform free cataract surgeries on patients in need.
3. Fishkind, Bakewell, Maltzman, Hunter & Associates worked with the ASCRS Foundation to provide the surgery to patients. Tucson-based Southern Arizona Anesthesia Services and Bausch & Lomb provided their services at no cost as well.
4. Fishkind, Bakewell, Maltzman, Hunter & Associates will continue to participate in the charity program through 2018.
