5 essentials on Dr. Darilyn Moyer, ACP’s 1st female executive VP, CEO

Darilyn V. Moyer, MD, will assume her role as American College of Physicians’ first female executive vice president and CEO in September, according to Reading Eagle.

Here are five essentials on Dr. Moyer.

1. Dr. Moyer’s practice areas include primary care, infectious disease and HIV.

2. As vice president and CEO, Dr. Moyer will serve as the ACP’s senior staff officer.

3. She is the internal medicine residency program director and assistant dean for graduate medical education at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine in Philadelphia.

4. After earning her medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Dr. Moyer completed her residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. She completed her infectious disease fellowship at UCLA.

5. Dr. Moyer is a member of Association of Program Directors of Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases Society of America and Society of General Internal Medicine
