Here are five takeaways:

1. Alaska’s GOP state legislature passed a bill to prop up the state’s single ACA insurer and is now waiting on Gov. Bill Walker’s (I-Ala.) signature.

2. In 2017, Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield will be the only insurer offering plans to individuals in Alaska.

3. According to Mr. Walker’s office, three health insurers have left Alaska since 2015, including Moda Health.

4. State documents show nearly 500 enrollees with severe medical conditions cost Alaska insurers about $59 million in less than two years.

5. If Mr. Walker approves the bill, the insurance fund will go into effect on June 30.
