South Carolina CRNA awarded $1,000 for research

 
A certified registered nurse anesthetist at Aiken (S.C.) Regional Medical Centers was awarded $1,000 for a research project, according to an Oct. 26 report from the Aiken Standard.

Jeffery Boswell, CRNA, received the check from Michael Storm, MD, chair of the research and scholarship committee for the S.C. Association of Nurse Anesthetists Oct. 21, the report said. Mr. Boswell’s research focuses on pain management during cardiac surgery. 

Mr. Boswell and another CRNA, David Floyd, were also presented with awards for professional advocacy, the report said.
