New York
1. Albany (N.Y.) Med Health System broke ground on an expansion at Greene Medical Arts in Catskill, N.Y., that will include a same-day surgery center.
2. NYU Langone Health opened an ambulatory practice in Commack, N.Y. The 18,000-square-foot center provides services including cardiology, orthopedics and urology.
3. New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian opened NewYork-Presbyterian The One, an outpatient center in White Plains, N.Y.
4. Two plastic surgeons, Oren Tepper, MD, and Evan Garfein, MD, opened Greenwich Street Surgical, a membership-based surgical facility in New York City. The 6,000-square-foot center, developed by a healthcare real estate team with experience in hospitals and ASCs, features three operating rooms, private pre- and post-op bays, an anesthesiology team and concierge-style recovery services.
5. Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Catholic Health opened an ambulatory and urgent care center in Melville, N.Y.
6. White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital, part of the Montefiore Health System, opened a multispecialty outpatient center in Scarsdale, N.Y.
Arizona
1. Advanced Spine and Pain opened a new surgery center and clinic in Prescott Valley, Ariz. The surgery center and clinic will provide services including advanced interventional procedures, spine care and personalized treatment plans for both chronic and acute pain conditions.
2. Lake Havasu City, Ariz.-based Convergence Health Outpatient Surgery Center opened its doors Aug. 5. The facility offers outpatient procedures in orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, interventional cardiology, neurology, spine and ophthalmology.
Maine
1. Portland, Maine-based InterMed broke ground on an ASC and medical office building in Scarborough, Maine. The 62,000-square-foot center will be InterMed’s fifth facility, with other locations in Portland, South Portland and Yarmouth, Maine.
2. Portland-based MaineHealth plans to invest $70 million to develop an orthopedic care hub that includes a surgery center.
