Lake Havasu City, Ariz.-based Convergence Health Outpatient Surgery Center marked its opening Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to an Aug. 7 RiverScene Magazine report.

The facility is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and offers lower-cost outpatient procedures in orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, interventional cardiology, neurology, spine and ophthalmology.

Founded by Jarrett Portz and David Lutz, the center was developed to expand access to surgical care, reduce the need for residents to travel for procedures and support healthcare growth in the community, according to the report.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
