Albany (N.Y.) Med Health System broke ground on an expansion at Greene Medical Arts in Catskill, N.Y., that will include a same-day surgery center.
The new space will include four operating rooms, two procedure rooms, a cardiac care center, as well as orthopedic, mental health, women’s health and primary care services, according to a Sept. 29 news release from the health system.
The $25 million project is expected to be completed in 2027.
Once completed, the facility will be the first same-day surgery center to serve Columbia and Greene, N.Y., counties, the release said.
