Ellis Medicine moves outpatient procedures from McClellan campus to 2 other hospitals

 
Ellis Medicine is moving outpatient surgery from its McClellan campus to its hospitals in Bellevue and Ellis in the Schenectady, N.Y., area. according to the Daily Gazette.

Three things to know:

1.The hospital said the main reason for the move was due to the hospitals running on low capacity for outpatient surgeries as patients are being driven to lower-cost outpatient settings.

2. Minimal or no jobs reductions are expected as a result of the move.

3. The hospital expects to complete the move in the first six months of this year.
