Ophthalmologist Dr. Michael Abramoff to Receive Young Investigator Award From Macula Society

Ophthalmologist Michael D. Abramoff, MD, PhD, will receive a 2013 Young Investigator Award from The Macula Society, according to a news release.

Dr. Abramoff is professor of ophthalmology at University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.

 

The Macular Society describes the Young Investigator Award as an award that recognizes an “individual or group of individuals under the age of 50 years whose work gives high promise of notable advance in the clinical treatment of disorders of the eye.”

 

Dr. Abramoff will receive the award at the 36th Annual Macula Society Meeting in early 2013.
