The gift is the second pledge of that size to the department and will establish the David M. Rubenstein Precision Medicine Center of Excellence. The donation furthers Mr. Rubenstein’s support for research focused on preserving and restoring hearing.
His gift will also support core facilities to support the research team, the report said. Additional funds will support conferences and speakers.
