Here are six states making changes:
1. California: Legislators will debate a bill ending the personal belief exemption or parents who oppose shots for their children.
2. Vermont: Vermont became the first state to repeal the philosophical exemption to vaccinate schoolchildren in May 2015.
3. New Jersey: Legislators are planning to take up a bill making religious exemptions against vaccinations more difficult to claim.
4. Illinois: State policymakers are enforcing parents citing religious reasons to exempt children from vaccinations would be required to fill out a formal request and have it signed and notarized by a religious official.
5. Mississippi: The state does not allow a religious or philosophical exemption for vaccination.
6. West Virginia: West Virginia also does not allow a religious or philosophical exemption for vaccination.
