1. The 110,000-square-foot expansion brings Olympus’s medical repair and manufacturing capabilities to the same area.

2. Olympus has operated a research and development and surgical manufacturing facility in Bartlett since 1984. The new facility was announced in 2016.

3. Olympus selected Bartlett as the expansion site because of the area’s growing medical device industry, advantages in shipping logistics and close proximity to a large Eastern U.S. customer population.

4. More than 75 percent of Olympus’ revenue is generated by its medical business.
