2. Casetabs launched the application in 2016 to facilitate communication between medical representatives and surgery centers.

3. The technology has since evolved to help eliminate operating room delays and cancellations in surgery centers and hospitals, according to Casetabs CEO Gavin Fabian.

4. Casetabs allows surgery centers to pull scheduling and patient demographic information from EMRs and schedule into available OR times. The application also allows surgery centers to manage anesthesia assignments, staffing assignments and vendor representatives.

5. The platform was expanded earlier this year to feature patient texting, including preoperative reminders and postoperative check-ins.
