The $15 million ASC is a joint venture of NueHealth, Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, Main Line Health, Jefferson Health and local physicians. When it opens, surgeons won’t offer outpatient joint replacement, but adding the procedure will be a part of the center’s long-term plans.
The ASC will have six operating rooms, 12 preoperative, and 15 postoperative bays. It will employ up to 40 people. The ASC, which is adjacent to Physicians Care Surgical Hospital, will add space for hospital patients undergoing surgery who don’t need to stay overnight.
