Quantel’s SLT technology has been used outside of the U.S. since 2007. However, until now, U.S. use was restricted because of a patent held by Massachusetts General Hospital, which recently expired.
SLT is used to reduce intraocular pressure in glaucoma patients. It’s noninvasive and produces a regenerative response at the cellular level.
