New ASC Development

Healthcare real estate developer Hammes has broken ground on a 48,000-square-foot medical office building in Buckeye, Ariz.

Madison, Wis.-based SSM Health plans to build an ASC that would replace a standalone emergency room, the Wisconsin State Journal reported May 3.

Construction is set to begin on an independent, surgeon-led ASC in Jamestown, Wis., the Telegraph Herald reported May 1.

Becker's has reported on nine ASC openings in April. 

Samaritan Medical Center has submitted plans to construct a four-story, 52,000-square-foot medical office building in Watertown, N.Y., according to an April 27 report from local news station WWNYTV. 

San Bernardino, Calif.-based SAC Health has purchased a former Wells Fargo regional headquarters for over $35 million, with plans to establish its SAC Health-Briar Campus. 

Cullman (Ala.) Regional Medical Center has begun the approval process to construct an ASC at Hartselle (Ala.) Health Park, according to an April 24 report from NBC affiliate WAFF.

The Metrodora Institute, a multidisciplinary medical and research center with an ASC focused on improving diagnostics, therapeutics and cures for patients with neuroimmune axis disorders, has opened. 

Comprehensive Surgical Care held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its newest ASC in Reno, Nev., according to an April 18 report from 2 News.

Pompano Beach, Fla.-based South Florida Same Day Surgery Center has opened, the center said in an April 17 news release shared with Becker's.
