Members of the Mississippi House passed a bill including an amendment to its certificate-of-need laws surrounding specific types of healthcare facilities, The Meridian Star reported Feb. 9.

House Bill 430 revises Mississippi’s CON law by removing end-stage renal disease facilities from CON requirements.

Under the new law, these facilities can be established or expanded without going through the CON process.
