Here’s what you should know:
1. The 20,000-square-foot ophthalmology facility will feature two operating rooms, preoperative and post-operative rooms, offices and consultation, diagnostic and reception areas.
2. Construction was scheduled to begin in June and is expected to wrap up in January 2019.
3. The growing ophthalmology surgery segment generated more than $12 billion in revenue in 2017, according to a Global Markets estimate.
“This project is a huge step forward in the evolution and growth of our practice,” Brooks Eye Associates Owner and Founder Dain Brooks, MD, said in a statement to D CEO Healthcare. “It exponentially increases our ability to serve the community.”
