The health system launched the phased opening of the Joan H. and Preston Robert Tisch Center at Essex Crossing, a 55,000-square-foot facility that will include three floors. Here are five things to know:
1. The building is designed to include more than 30 exam rooms and could care for more than 300 patients daily. The building will also eventually house four operating rooms for orthopedic surgery as well as a women’s sports medicine center.
2. Patients can begin scheduling appointments July 2 with specialists, including orthopedics, cardiology, pain management and sports medicine.
3. NYU Langone plans to add spine surgery and rheumatology services in August as well as physical medicine and rehabilitation in the future. The outpatient surgical suite will open at a later date.
4. When the facility is fully operational, it will also include gynecology, ENT and plastic surgery.
5. Tisch Center at Essex Crossing will also have diagnostic services, including X-ray imaging and a self-service kiosk for expedited check-in.
