Aurora Health Care’s $130M surgery center, office building project receives approval — 5 insights

Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care received approval from the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission for its $130 million ASC and office building development in Pleasant Prairie, Wis., the Kenosha News reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Aurora is developing approximately 64 acres of land for the facility.

2. Construction is expected to begin this summer, with an anticipated 2020 completion date.

3. The ASC will be approximately 100,000 square feet and will be situated next to a 100,000-square-foot, three-story medical office building.

4. The ASC will offer primary care, orthopedic, urology and imaging services. There will also be an onsite laboratory and pharmacy.

5. As a result of the new development, Aurora plans to hire 260 full-time and 28 part-time employees.
