Tenet adds nurse trauma coordinator into its ‘Heroes Hall of Fame’ — 4 quick facts

Tenet Healthcare Corp. inducted Miriam Ramirez, BSN, RN, into its “Heroes Hall of Fame.”

Here are four quick facts:

1. Ms. Ramirez is a nurse trauma coordinator at Berwyn, Ill.-based MacNeal Hospital.

2. In her role, she created the hospital’s domestic violence committee and fostered partnerships with organizations such as the Arab American Family Shelter, Pillars, Mujeres Latinas en Acción, Sarah’s Inn, South Suburban Family Shelter and the Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women’s Network.

3. MacNeal Hospital’s screenings have improved and assault victims can receive social services, police protection, cab vouchers and follow-up care from a crisis worker due to Ms. Ramirez’s work.

4. Tenet recognized six individuals, including Ms. Ramirez, at its ceremony in Dallas on April 4.
