TeamHealth names medical directors, advanced practice clinician of the year

Knoxville, Tenn.-based TeamHealth named its 2017 Dr. Gar LaSalle Medical Directors of the Year and Advanced Practice Clinician of the Year.

TeamHealth recognized:

  • Lou Romig, MD, After Hours Pediatrics Urgent Care in Tampa, Fla., for ambulatory care
  • Michael Eagan, MD, Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, N.J., for emergency medicine
  • George Gurdock, DO, Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., for emergency medicine
  • Guneesh Saluja, MD, Ingalls Health System in Harvey, Ill., for emergency medicine
  • Scott Scherr, MD, Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, for emergency medicine
  • Patrick Behm, MD, Lima (Ohio) Memorial Health System, for anesthesiology
  • Praveen Cheripalli, MD, Memorial Hospital Jacksonville (Fla.) for acute hospital medicine
  • Cherity Gurganus, PMHNP-BC, Smithfield Manor in Smithfield, N.C., as its post-acute clinician honoree
  • Tanya Mays, MD, Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare in Utica, N.Y., as its specialty hospitalist honoree
  • Rodney White, CRNA, Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio as its advanced practice clinician honoree.

TeamHealth selected these honorees out of 20,000 healthcare professionals. TeamHealth established the Medical Director of the Year program in 2002.
