Dr. Jeffrey Horn to implant 1st PanOptix Trifocal Intraocular Lens

Jeffrey Horn, MD, of Nashville, Tenn.-based Vision for Life, will implant a PanOptix Trifocal Intraocular Lens in a patient Sept. 4.

What you should know:

1. Dr. Horn will complete what is believed to be the first procedure with the now FDA-approved device.

2. The device is the only trifocal lens in the U.S. that is FDA approved.

3. The FDA granted its approval after clinicians tested the lens at 12 investigational sites.

Dr. Horn spoke highly of the lens, saying, “It is quite simply the best lens I’ve ever implanted.”
