West Side GI offers a range of gastrointestinal endoscopic services, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, from its 11 founding physicians. The surgery center was conceived of two years ago by gastroenterologists affiliated with St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, in conjunction with management partner Frontier Healthcare Holdings.

The surgery center is approximately 13,000 square feet and includes five procedure rooms. Its physicians expect to see a combined 20,000 patients per year. The surgery center was surveyed by the New York State Department of Health on June 11 and received same-week approval.
