Weight Loss Services Industry Revenue to Reach $4.1B by 2016

The weight loss services industry’s revenue is expected to increase at an average annual rate of 4.5 percent for the next five years to reach $4.1 billion by 2016, according to an IBISWorld report and news release.

The report estimated Americans will spend $3.3 billion on weight loss services in 2011. Analysts name rising obesity rates and a stabilizing economy for the increase in market revenue.
