Takeda Canada inaugurated its new Ontario-based headquarters May 30.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Takeda Canada is relocating from its previous Oakville, Ontario office to a larger space, also in Oakville.

2. Takeda Canada General Manager Chatrick Paul said the company is staying in Oakville for its employees.

“We chose to stay in Oakville because of our history here and because for many on our team, Oakville is considered home,” Mr. Paul said in a release.

3. Oakville Mayor Rob Burton expressed his pleasure over Takeda staying in the city.

4. Takeda Canada sold several artifacts from its old office and donated the items to local charities like Women’s Habitat, Habitat for Humanity and Links2Care.
