2. Researchers have now found the evidence underlying those studies was very low quality, meaning the studies cannot determine cause and effect.
3. Researchers debunked the claims of adverse effects because the unintended consequences of the study have impacted PPI prescription rates.
4. Researchers did note long-term PPI use should be for the lowest effective dose and periodically reassessed.
