Pentax Medical posts lecture series on endoscopic infection control — 6 insights

Here’s what you should know:

1. During the symposium, clinical experts discussed the challenges of performing biliopancreatic procedures and reducing the risk of cross contamination in endoscope reprocessing.

2. The symposium was called “Reducing the risk of infection in ERCP,” referring to endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography procedures. Pentax sponsored the event, which was held in Budapest.

3. Professor Frédéric Prat presented the first lecture, “Reducing the risk of infection in ERCP: an increasing need.”

4. Dr. Michael Häfner evaluated Pentax’s new DEC Video Duodenoscope ED34 i10T2 in the next lecture, “Therapeutic performance. A disposable elevator in everyday practice.”

5. Ulrike Beilenhoff concluded the lecture series with “How to increase efficiency in reprocessing.”
