The software helps physicians detect colorectal polyps in real time with a sensitivity rate per lesion of 99.7 percent. The hospital said every 1 percent increase in the rate of adenoma detection can reduce the risk of colorectal cancer by 3 percent.

“Northwest Health is focused on meeting the medical needs of the community by providing its expert staff with the latest technologies and procedures,” said Ashley Dickinson, CEO of Northwest Health. “This new technology is the first and only AI system for detection of colonic polyps in the United States, and we are proud to offer it to our patients.”

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
