Iowa advocacy group awards Dyersville Health Foundation funds for new equipment — 4 insights

The Dyersville Area Community Foundation awarded the Dyersville (Iowa) Health Foundation a grant to purchase new colonoscopy equipment, the Dyersville Commercial reports.

1. DHF received a $1,975 grant.

2. Randy Mahoney accepted the award on DHF’s behalf. He said Mercy Medical Center in Dyersville performs 150 CRC screenings annually, and that half of those screenings are positive for cancer.

3. Mr. Mahoney said, “That’s why it’s so important for us to continue these lifesaving screenings in Dyersville.”

4. The community foundation awarded eight other grants.
