The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy renewed its recognition of Memorial Hospital Belleville's Gastroenterology/Endoscopy Center for three more years, the Metro East Sun reports.

1. ASGE initially recognized the center through its ASGE Endoscopy Recognition Program, which honors centers that follow and exceed ASGE guidelines.
2. The center is one of only 25 in Illinois to hold the distinction.
3. Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer Teri Halloran, RN, said, "We are honored to be recognized once again by ASGE for our efforts to enhance quality and safety in our endoscopy unit. Through ongoing education and continued compliance with the ASGE Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program requirements, we demonstrate our dedication to the delivery of high-quality patient care."
