Dr. Alpers clinical interests include nutrition/malnutrition, small and large intestinal diseases, inflammatory bowel disease and general gastroenterology. His work has been published in a number of professional journals, such as The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Current Opinion in Gastroenterology and Gastroenterology. He is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.
Dr. Alpers completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School in Boston and his residency and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
