Dr. Stephenson’s clinical interests include colorectal cancer screening, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and hepatitis B and C. After a fellowship in geriatric medicine, she was granted an award for her research in geriatric gastroenterology. Additionally, she performs procedures at the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Associates ASC in Rockville, Md.
Dr. Stephenson earned her medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Frankford Hospitals in Philadelphia. She has completed two fellowships — one in geriatric medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark and another in gastroenterology at St. James Hospital and Medical Centers in Chicago.
