GI leader to know: Dr. Naga Chalasani of the Indiana University School of Medicine

 
Naga P. Chalasani, MD, is the chief of the gastroenterology and hepatology division at the Indianapolis-based Indiana University School of Medicine.

In his role Dr. Chalasani leads a staff of 100, including 50 faculty physicians, 16 subspecialty fellows and three psychologists. He is also the associate dean for clinical research at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Chalasani has authored over 180 papers and has co-authored a book about alcoholic and nonalcoholic liver disease.
