Dr. Haydek specializes in endoscopic treatments for Barrett’s Esophagus as well as early stage esophageal cancer. The Center of Excellence for Treatment of Barrett’s Esophagus at Thompson Cancer Survival Center recruited him to help advance research.
He began his career after earning his medical degree from Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola University Medical Center. He stayed at the medical center, completing his internship and fellowship.
Dr. Haydek is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Gastroenterological Association, among others.
Outside of his practice, he enjoys hiking, fishing and bird watching with his wife and children.
