GI leader to know: Dr. Douglas A. Corley of Kaiser Permanente

Douglas A. Corley, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist with Kaiser Permanente at San Francisco Medical Center.

Dr. Corley is a practicing internist as well as a research scientist at Kaiser Permanente. He also serves as the deputy editor-in-chief of Gastroenterology.

His career began after he earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School, before his fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He then returned to school to earn a master’s degree in public health and a doctorate in epidemiology.

Dr. Corley previously served as a full time GI faculty member at the University of California, San Francisco. He was a past chief of the GI faculty practice.

He additional served on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Gastroenterology and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
