Gastroenterology group takes new approach to patient charting — 4 details

Suffolk-based Virginia Gastroenterology Institute launched new patient charting software, according to a May 26 announcement.

1. The practice is using Provation’s Apex Patient Charting tool to facilitate care team communication throughout a clinical procedure.

2. Apex Patient Charting is designed to streamline access to patient notes, anesthesia dosage amounts, allergy warnings, procedure logs and other key information.

3. VGI is also introducing Provation Apex Procedure Documentation for endoscopic image capture and procedure notes.

4. Provation’s technology doesn’t require on-site IT support and eliminates the need for paper-based charting.
