Gastroenterologist to know: Dr. Naga Chalasani of Indiana University School of Medicine

Naga Chalasani, MBBS, is a gastroenterologist and chief of the division of gastroenterology and hepatology at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He is also the director of the Indiana University Health Physicians Digestive and Liver Disorders service line.

Dr. Chalasani’s research interests include nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, drug hepatotoxicity and drug metabolism, and his clinical interests include acute and chronic liver disease, fatty liver and NASH.

Dr. Chalasani earned his medical degree from Kakatiya Medical College in India and completed both his residency and fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta.
