FDA expands approval for Interscope's EndoRotor — 3 insights

The FDA expanded its approval of Interscope's EndoRotor System to allow the device to be used in the pulmonary space.

What you should know:

1. The EndoRotor system was the first flexible microdebrider for the digestive tract. The company will now extend its marketing efforts to include its approval for the pulmonary space.

2. The system helps thoracic surgeons and pulmonologists remove disease without heat.

3. Interscope first received FDA approval for the EndoRotor in 2018. The system has been widely used by gastroenterologists in the U.S. and in select European countries since then.
