Here are four points:
1. In the study, investigators noted a relationship between CKD and dysmotility with post-prandial small bowel water and minimized fasting.
2. Poorer symptom scores were also interrelated with the degree of endotoxemia, based on the study’s findings.
3. However, the study did not indicate a relationship between hydration status, arterial stiffness and disease severity.
4. Deerfield, Ill.-based Baxter Healthcare funded the study.
